Complete Water Purification, Storage & Testing Equipment for Humanitarian and Emergency Operations

Whether you are responding to a cholera outbreak, establishing water systems for a camp, or scaling a long-term WASH program, SLS delivers the equipment you need with the logistics to get it to your field site. As the authorised East African distributor for Butyl Products (UK), we combine manufacturer-backed product quality with in-country supply chain management. Our WASH product portfolio covers every stage of the water supply chain: source treatment with Aquatabs and P&G purification technology, field storage with Oxfam steel tanks and flexible bladders, and quality assurance with portable water testing kits.

Aquatabs Water Purification Tablets

Aquatabs are the world’s most widely used single-dose water purification tablet, trusted by humanitarian agencies in over 90 countries. Each tablet uses NaDCC (Sodium Dichloroisocyanurate) technology to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, and Giardia cysts from contaminated water within 30 minutes.

With a 5-year shelf life and compact packaging, Aquatabs are ideal for pre-positioning in regional warehouses for rapid cholera response, rainy season preparedness, and ongoing WASH programs.

SLS maintains pre-positioned Aquatabs inventory in East Africa for immediate dispatch and is the exclusive distributor for South Sudan and Uganda.

P&G Purifier of Water Sachets

The P&G Purifier of Water sachet is the only household water treatment product that combines flocculation (removing suspended particles and sediment) with disinfection (killing bacteria, viruses, and protozoa) in a single 30-minute treatment.

Each sachet treats 10 litres of even highly turbid water, making it the ideal solution when source water is visibly contaminated — a common scenario during flooding, in IDP camps near surface water sources, and in areas without piped supply. WHO-evaluated and EPA-registered, P&G sachets have been used in humanitarian responses globally.

SLS is the exclusive distributor of P&G Purifier of Water in South Sudan, with bulk supply available for NGO and UN procurement across East Africa.

Oxfam Steel Water Storage Tanks

Oxfam tanks are the industry standard for humanitarian water storage, deployed by IFRC, ICRC, MSF, UNICEF, and Oxfam in refugee camps, IDP sites, and emergency water systems for over 40 years.

Manufactured by Butyl Products (UK) with galvanised steel panels and EPDM rubber liners approved for potable water, these modular tanks can be erected by a small team in 4–8 hours on any flat ground. SLS supplies the full Oxfam tank range: T11 (11m³), T45 (45m³), T70 (70m³), and T95 (95m³), plus PVC roof kits, repair kits, and all fittings.

Flexible Onion Tanks and Bladders

When speed of deployment is critical, flexible onion tanks and pillow bladders provide immediate water storage capacity with minimal site preparation.

Our onion tanks (1,000L to 25,000L) are self-supporting, open-top flexible tanks made from heavy-duty PVC, designed for buffer storage in water treatment chains, temporary supply at distribution points, and short-term emergency use. Pillow bladders (up to 100,000L) are collapsible fuel-grade or potable-grade storage solutions for transport and field warehousing.

Portable Water Testing Kits

SLS supplies portable water testing kits that enable field teams to measure free residual chlorine, turbidity, pH, bacteriological contamination, and other critical parameters on-site. These kits are designed for use by non-specialist staff in remote locations, with clear colour-change indicators and simple testing procedures.

Regular testing is a requirement for all humanitarian WASH operations and is particularly critical during cholera response, where chlorination levels must be maintained above 0.5mg/L FRC at point of distribution.

Our complete portfolio of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene equipment is designed for reliability in the most demanding environments. Every product is field-tested, certified to international standards, and backed by SLS in-country logistics and technical support.
