2. REGIONAL REGULATORY COMPLIANCE​

SLS operates in complex regulatory environments. We align our data processing activities with the following regional frameworks:

• Kenya: We comply with the Data Protection Act, 2019, ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, minimized, and secured. We respect the rights of Kenyan data subjects to access and object to processing.

   

• Uganda: Our practices adhere to the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019, which governs the collection and use of personal data by both public and private bodies.

   

• Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC): We follow the provisions of the Digital Code (Ordinance-Law No. 23/010 of 2023), which establishes the legal framework for activities in the digital space and the protection of personal data in the DRC.

   

• South Sudan: We operate in accordance with the Cybercrimes and Computer Misuse Act, 2026, and respect the constitutional right to privacy. We handle all data with the high level of confidentiality required for humanitarian and emergency logistics operations.

• Regional Frameworks: SLS recognizes the African Union Convention on Cyber Security and Personal Data Protection (Malabo Convention) and the AU Data Policy Framework as guiding principles for cross-border data flows within the East African Community (EAC).

3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA​

Your information is used solely for the purpose of fulfilling humanitarian logistics and supply chain services:

• To generate accurate quotes for emergency relief equipment.

• To coordinate last-mile delivery to remote field locations.

• To maintain vendor pre-qualification records for UN agencies and NGOs.

• To provide technical support for the installation of Oxfam tanks and pumps.

4. DATA SHARING & INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS​

As a regional logistics provider, your data may be transferred between our offices in Juba (South Sudan), Nairobi (Kenya), and field sites in Uganda or the DRC.

• Manufacturers: We may share necessary details with authorized partners like Butyl Products UK, Multiquip, or Hallgruppen to facilitate warranty support or technical specs.

• No Sale of Data: SLS does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Given our work in high-risk environments, we implement robust technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or alteration. This includes encrypted communications and secure internal databases for procurement records.
